The next general membership meeting of the Jackson County Democratic Committee will be Monday, May 20, and Jackson County Democratic Headquarters, 757 W. Franklin St., Jackson.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. with a social period at 6 p.m.
We’ll have a special guest from the Michigan House Democratic Caucus talking about the importance of state legislative races.
We’ll also be voting on a proposed bylaws amendment from our Rules Committee that would clarify our endorsement process — you can view the proposed language here.
The JCDC monthly meetings are open to any and all persons interested in helping to build the county Democratic Party and to help elect Democratic candidates.
In order to vote at the JCDC’s monthly meeting, a person must be a member of the Jackson County Democratic Committee for at least 30 days prior to that meeting. Precinct delegates, candidates and elected officials are exempt from the 30-day
advance membership requirement but must be a member at the time of the vote.
