The next general membership meeting of the Jackson County Democratic Committee will be Monday, June 17, and Jackson County Democratic Headquarters, 757 W. Franklin St., Jackson.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. with a social period at 6 p.m. An agenda is forthcoming.
At the June general membership meeting we’ll have a guest speaker from Moms Demand Action talking about responsible firearms ownership.
We will also be voting on a proposed bylaws amendment establishing a process for dealing with misconduct by members, which was unanimously approved by the Rules Committee. View the proposed amendment.
The JCDC monthly meetings are open to any and all persons interested in helping to build the county Democratic Party and to help elect Democratic candidates.
In order to vote at the JCDC’s monthly meeting, a person must be a member of the Jackson County Democratic Committee for at least 30 days prior to that meeting. Precinct delegates, candidates and elected officials are exempt from the 30-day advance membership requirement but must be a member at the time of the vote.
