The next meeting of the Jackson County Democratic Committee will be Monday, July 15, at Jackson County Democratic Headquarters, 757 W. Franklin St., Jackson.
The Executive Committee will meet at 6 p.m., followed by the general membership meeting at 6:30 p.m.
The Executive Committee will choose a new vice chair to succeed Karyl Baker, who is stepping down. Executive Committee members were sent an email with details regarding this election. Direct any questions to Conner at email@example.com.
At the general membership meeting, we will vote on proposed bylaws to clarify the roles of each of our officers in greater detail, and create the optional office of Designated Record Keeper to assist our Treasurer in complying with campaign finance law. View the proposed language.
The JCDC monthly meetings are open to any and all persons interested in helping to build the county Democratic Party and to help elect Democratic candidates.
In order to vote at the JCDC’s monthly meeting, a person must be a member of the Jackson County Democratic Committee for at least 30 days prior to that meeting. Precinct delegates, candidates and elected officials are exempt from the 30-day advance membership requirement but must be a member at the time of the vote.
