The 65th annual FDR Dinner is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, at the Gene Davis & Sons Event Center, 3575 Francis St., Jackson, Michigan.
This is an opportunity to join together for a meal with local Democrats and recognize the work you and they do all year round. State and local Democratic candidates in the Nov. 8 election also will be on hand.
The guest speaker for the event is Justice Richard Bernstein of the Michigan Supreme Court.

Justice Bernstein was elected to the Michigan Supreme Court in 2014 and became its first blind justice. He is an attorney, an educator, and a former chair of the Wayne State University Board of Governors.
Justice Bernstein’s honors include “Michiganian of the Year”, one of Crain’s Detroit Business’ “40 Under 40” and recognition on worldwide television by CNN as a leader in keeping government honest.
The evening will include a full chicken dinner (with vegetarian options) and a cash-only bar for those 21 years of age and older.
Highlights will include recognition of our Volunteer of the Year and presentation of our Lifetime Service Award. If you have anybody who you think should be nominated for either of those two awards, please email JCDC Chair Conner Wood at chair@jacksoncountydems.org.
Tickets may be purchased in advance for $60 a person or $100 for a couple. Tables of eight may be purchased for $350. Tickets will cost more at the door, so buy yours early by ordering online or sending a check, payable to JCDC, to Jackson County Democratic Committee, PO Box 2000, Jackson, MI, 49204-200.
